After completing his PhD study on the immunological diagnosis of human hydatid disease at Melbourne University, Don has worked in several research and clinical laboratories in Australia and the USA, with a particular focus on molecular diagnosis of microbial pathogens including ovine footrot bacterium, human dermatophyte fungi and foodborne listeriae.
