Infectious Diseases Detection Technology, for R&D partnering and platform licensing:
"Take a New Look at Microbial Detection"
HGS currently enjoys a rapidly developing base of R&D Partners and Licensees for its simplification technology. The Key application of this is for the detection of infectious diseases with molecular assays. This is a growth area for the Co. that is attracting attention from around the world. We invite you to contact us for enquiries regarding our Partnering and Licensing programs on info@geneticsignatures.com
Key features of our Microbial Detection Technology:
Significantly Improved Specificity
- Statistically significant improvement (p=0.001) in false positives vs. current FDA standard for HPV testing (Hybrid Capture 2 method)
- For high-risk HPV testing; 13 high risk targets are clearly identified from a complex background of low-risk virus
- Ability to drill down from broad microbial class (e.g. gram negative/gram positive.) into specific genus and species detection levels.
Multi-Target Screen; Single Reaction
- Achieve detection of multiple microbial strains in a single reaction without the need for multiplexing
- Single consensus primer detects presence of any/all variants of species of interest, with high degree of specificity. One well, one reaction, one tube - a simple yes/no result
- Also able to genotype specific species present with a simple step using same purified sample as used for the screening assay.
4 to 3 Simplification; Revolutionary.
- Reduces 4 genomic bases to 3 bases (ACTG to ATG) - “4 to 3” conversion to create a greatly simplified and non-natural genome
- Virtually eliminates sample nucleic acid degradation usually associated with the chemical process used to achieve “4 to 3” (bisulphite conversion)
- Allowing for the choice of any region in the genome, for greater specificity and unique primer design for microbial detection
